# Is there any way to make character portraits stick around for narration as well?

I’m extremely new to making any kinds of games (literally a couple days of experience) so I apologize if this is a self-explanatory question! I only have two characters in my game, so it feels awkward when the character portraits keep fading in and out in-between narration segments. Is there a way to keep the character portraits stick around for as long as a dialogue-heavy interaction takes place?

You could skip the character portraits and use sprites for the characters.

Currently I’m doing both in mine, characters displayed on screen, but in the narration the character portrait shows also.
